nlsio LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Instags mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Photos and Images

When you use Instags to generate captions and hashtags, you may choose to upload photos from your device. These photos are temporarily transmitted to Anthropic's Claude AI service for analysis purposes only.

Important: We do not store, save, or retain any photos you upload. Photos are sent directly to Anthropic for processing and are immediately discarded after the AI generates your captions and hashtags. Neither we nor Anthropic retain copies of your images.

1.2 Generated Content

The captions and hashtags generated by our AI are created in real-time and are not stored on our servers. All generated content remains on your device unless you choose to share it elsewhere.

1.3 Usage Information

We may collect anonymous usage data to improve the App, including:

• App usage statistics (e.g., number of generations, feature usage)
• Device information (e.g., iOS version, device model)
• Error logs and crash reports

This data is anonymized and cannot be linked back to individual users.

1.4 Purchase Information

If you make an in-app purchase to remove ads, your payment information is processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store your payment information. We only receive a receipt confirmation from Apple to verify your purchase.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Process your photos through Anthropic's Claude AI to generate captions and hashtags
• Verify in-app purchases and manage ad-free access
• Improve the App's functionality and user experience
• Monitor and analyze App performance
• Provide customer support when you contact us

3. Third-Party Services

3.1 Anthropic (Claude AI)

We use Anthropic's Claude AI service to analyze your photos and generate captions and hashtags. When you upload a photo, it is transmitted to Anthropic's servers for processing.

Anthropic processes images according to their privacy policy and does not retain your photos after processing. For more information, please review Anthropic's Privacy Policy.

3.2 Apple App Store

In-app purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. Apple's privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policy. We recommend reviewing Apple's Privacy Policy.

3.3 Advertising (Free Version)

The free version of Instags displays advertisements. Our advertising partners may collect certain device and usage information to serve relevant ads. You can remove ads by purchasing the ad-free version of the App.

4. Data Security

We take the security of your information seriously:

• All data transmission between your device and our servers uses industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS)
• Photos are transmitted securely to Anthropic and are not stored by us or Anthropic
• We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data
• Access to any collected data is restricted to authorized personnel only

However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We have a minimal data retention policy:

• Photos: Not stored at all. Photos are processed in real-time and immediately discarded.
• Generated Content: Stored only on your device. We do not retain captions or hashtags.
• Usage Data: Anonymized usage statistics may be retained to improve the App.
• Purchase Records: We retain purchase verification data to manage your ad-free status.

6. Children's Privacy

Instags is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@instags.pics so we can take appropriate action.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your information:

• Access: You can request information about the data we collect (which is minimal)
• Deletion: You can request deletion of any data we may have collected
• Opt-Out of Ads: You can remove ads by purchasing the ad-free version
• Photo Control: You control which photos you upload; we never access your photo library without permission

8. International Users

If you are located outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States and other countries where Anthropic operates. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries outside your country of residence.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

• Posting the new Privacy Policy in the App and on our website
• Updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy
• Sending you a notification through the App (for material changes)

Your continued use of the App after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.

10. California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

• The right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used
• The right to delete personal information we have collected
• The right to opt-out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell your information)
• The right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights
